Initial Position & Objectives

  • 8 departments at 4 locations provide infrastructure and application operations
  • Multiple asset management tools, monitoring systems, and documentation platforms
  • Central service provision by service providers at two locations (7x24)
  • Coordination of cross-location processes and interfaces (service processes)
  • Establishment of central tools and standardization of operations

Procedure & Methodology

  • Analysis of locations and development of standard processes within the framework of on-site workshops (160 FTE)
  • Formation of topic complexes (documentation, processes, monitoring) and support of working groups
  • Customer support by central project managers as part of the project management office
  • Regular reporting and creation of customer-specific processes according to ITIL
  • Transfer of the first 21 systems to pilot operation and successful completion of the project

Result

  • Provision of Managed Services for pilot systems according to ISD-Framework
  • Transfer of open points and central documentation
  • Transfer to follow-up project:
    • Successive takeover of hundreds of systems per month
    • Continuous process optimization
    • Monthly reporting of agreed service level agreements

  • Service processes and services of the provider could be checked and are continuously improved
